Bose Soundlink Mini Software Update

Prior to resetting a Soundlink, make sure the speaker is paired and check to see if your speaker works with the Bose Connect app, which can update a speaker’s internal software. This might fix a problem without resetting it. If all else fail then just download the Bose updater app and then force your mini soundlink to update the firmware again. Btw my firmware version was latest at the time 1.14 when it was flashing red as i left the battery ran out and locked in battery shipping mode.

I purchased the Soundlink Mini in December 2013, and have also tried to update it with it plugged into AC with the Bose drivers installed. Like others, all three lights blink without the software either not detecting it, or as someone before pointed out, not detecting any new updates.
